Mason Cash - History

History

The origins of Mason Cash can be traced back to a pottery already operating at Church Gresley around 1800. The location was selected due to the local deposits of clay and coal. Thomas Cash acquired the pottery in 1901, retaining the 'Mason' name of the previous owner, renamed the pottery Mason Cash & Co.

Famous quotes containing the word history:

One classic American landscape haunts all of American literature. It is a picture of Eden, perceived at the instant of history when corruption has just begun to set in. The serpent has shown his scaly head in the undergrowth. The apple gleams on the tree. The old drama of the Fall is ready to start all over again.
    Jonathan Raban (b. 1942)

Well, for us, in history where goodness is a rare pearl, he who was good almost takes precedence over he who was great.
    Victor Hugo (1802–1885)

All things are moral. That soul, which within us is a sentiment, outside of us is a law. We feel its inspiration; out there in history we can see its fatal strength.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
