^"Playing the Game" replaced "Temper, Temper" in 2009.
- Deleted Songs (from the film)
Songs that were in the original movie but omitted from the musical are:
- Sister Suffragette (replaced by Being Mrs. Banks and its reprise)
- The Life I Lead (replaced by the thematically similar Precision and Order)
- Stay Awake
- I Love to Laugh
- Fidelity Fiduciary Bank
A deleted song for Mrs. Banks was called "What I Can Do," according to an interview with George Stiles and Richard Sherman. It was thought to be a sort of 1920s-style number, so they later wrote "Being Mrs. Banks" instead.

Famous quotes containing the word songs:
“Blues are the songs of despair, but gospel songs are the songs of hope.”
—Mahalia Jackson (19111972)
“On a cloud I saw a child,
And he laughing said to me,
Pipe a song about a Lamb;
So I piped with merry chear.
Piper pipe that song again
So I piped, he wept to hear.
Drop thy pipe thy happy pipe
Sing thy songs of happy chear;
So I sung the same again
While he wept with joy to hear.”
—William Blake (17571827)
“What wondrous love is this
That caused the Lord of bliss
To bear the dreadful curse for my soul”
—Unknown. What Wondrous Love is this! L. 3-5, Dupuys Hymns and Spiritual Songs (1811)
