• John Denis Browne, 1st Marquess of Sligo (1756–1809)

• Howe Peter Browne, 2nd Marquess of Sligo (1788–1845), son of the 1st Marquess.

• George John Browne, 3rd Marquess of Sligo (1820–1896), son of the 2nd Marquess. He died without male issue.
• John Thomas Browne, 4th Marquess of Sligo (1824–1903), brother of the 3rd Marquess. He died without male issue.
• Henry Ulick Browne, 5th Marquess of Sligo (1831–1913), brother of the 3rd Marquess.

• George Ulick Browne, 6th Marquess of Sligo (1856–1935), son of the 5th Marquess.

• Ulick John Browne, 7th Marquess of Sligo (1898–1941), son of the 6th Marquess. He died unmarried.

• Arthur Howe Browne, 8th Marquess of Sligo (1867–1951), second son of the 5th Marquess. He died without male issue.
• Terence Morris Browne, 9th Marquess of Sligo (1873–1952), third son of the 5th Marquess. He died unmarried.

• Denis Edward Browne, 10th Marquess of Sligo (1908–1991), son of the fourth son of the 5th Marquess - Lt. Col. Alfred Eden Browne - and nephew of the 9th Marquess.

• Jeremy Ulick Browne, 11th Marquess of Sligo (b. 1939) son of the 10th Marquess. He is married to Jennifer Cooper but has no male issue.

The heir presumptive is the present holder's first cousin, Hon. Sebastian Ulick Browne (b. 1964) who is the son of Capt. Ulick Browne and grandson of Lt. Col. Alfred Eden Browne. Thus Sebastian Ulick Browne is the great-grandson of the 5th Marquess.
