Marko Devych

Marko Dević or Marko Devich (Serbian: Марко Девић, Marko Dević, Ukrainian: Марко Девич, Marko Devych; born 27 October 1983) is a Ukrainian footballer of Serbian descent who plays for Shakhtar Donetsk as an attacking midfielder and a second striker. He began his career in Serbia with Zvezdara. He also played for Serbian clubs FK Železnik, FK Radnički Jugopetrol, FK Voždovac, before moving to Ukraine in 2005 to play for Volyn Lutsk. He spent two seasons at Volyn and after they were relegated he joined Metalist Kharkiv. He was the top scorer in the 2007-08 Ukrainian Premier League with 19 goals in 27 appearances. After spending six seasons with the club, he joined the Ukrainian Premier League champions Shakhtar Donetsk for the 2012-13 season. He won the first honour of his career on his debut for the club, helping Shakhtar to the 2012 Ukrainian Super Cup. In June 2008, at the age of 24, he became a naturalized Ukrainian citizen. He made his debut for the national team on 19 November 2008 in a friendly match against Norway.
