The Markle Foundation works to realize the potential of information technology to address previously intractable public problems, for the health and security of all Americans. In pursuit of its mission, Markle collaborates with innovators and thought leaders from the public and private sectors whose expertise lies in the areas of information technology, privacy, civil liberties, health, national security, and economic security. This collaboration has enabled Markle to offer comprehensive recommendations to the highest levels of government, many of which have passed into law through acts of Congress and by executive order, and to the private sector. Markle is a private foundation.
