The Dallas Voice reported in August 2006 that Dalton and fellow porn performer Zeb Atlas were making a film that they hoped to release by December 14. Dalton hails from Denton, Texas, and his agent said that parts of the project were to be filmed in North Texas. Mark Meets Zeb: The Texas Two Step was released in Summer 2007. He was featured as "Mr. April" in the "2009 Abs-olutely Hot 15-month wall calendar". In July 2009 he was again the cover model for Unzipped. In summer 2009 he launched a tour "Mark Dalton Live: Bustin' Out All Over". Commenting on doing porn scenes with other men Dalton noted his involvement in Mark Meets Zeb: The Texas Two Step, "Making it was okay, but I wrote the screenplay and choreographed my scenes and got no credit for it. Let’s just say that a lot of factors didn’t work out as planned.” In late 2009 Dalton wrapped filming on Jet Set Productions' 2010 release Getting Levi's Johnston.
Dalton started his own company to produce and control the quality of his work. According to a Lavender Lounge interview "ith his own company, and no outside investors, he is fully involved in producing movies, a website, dancing in clubs and occasional escorting." As of 2009 he is searching for "high caliber gay and straight guys who have never been seen in porn before" for his own brand within the mainly same-sex muscle porn genre. "He envisions a whole stable of hot guys to be part of the "Muscle Stud Club" on his web site and appear in his videos."
