Phylogeny
Based on analysis of mitochondrial 12S ribosomal RNA, 16S ribosomal RNA and cytochrome-c oxidase I (COI) gene Marisa planogyra is a sister clade to Asolene spixii, which indicate, that Marisa is not monophyletic.
