Mario Austin

Mario Trevon Austin (born February 26, 1982, in Livingston, Alabama) is an American professional basketball player. Drafted 36th overall in the 2003 NBA Draft by the Chicago Bulls, Mario did not make the roster following training camp and left to play overseas. He began his professional career with CSKA Moscow, but was released after an injury and dispute with the team before playing an official game. He then spent the remainder of the season in the WBA league. In 2004 he signed with Italian team Lauretana Biella and had a decent season. In 2005 he signed with Hapoel Jerusalem B.C., where he played until 2007 and helped bring them the State Cup.

In summer of 2007 he played with the Chicago Bulls summer league team.

For the 2007/08 season he has signed for Benetton Treviso.

On July 18, 2008, Beşiktaş Cola Turka officially announced Austin's transfer.

At the start of the 2009/10 season, was signed by Meridiano Alicante, but was released on January 21, 2010.

On April 10, 2010, was signed by the Atléticos de San Germán of the Puerto Rican league, being replaced on May 29, 2010 by Ernest Brown

As part of a Carlos Boozer sign and trade to the Bulls, Mario Austin's rights were traded to the Utah Jazz.

On August 13, 2010 Mario Austin has signed for Ukrainian club Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk
