Margin Balance

Margin balance is the total balance in a margin account. If the balance is negative, then the amount is owed to the brokerage firm. If the balance is positive, then the money is available to the account holder to reinvest, or is left in the account to earn interest.

Famous quotes containing the words margin and/or balance:

Everything that explains the world has in fact explained a world that does not exist, a world in which men are at the center of the human enterprise and women are at the margin “helping” them. Such a world does not exist—never has.
    Gerda Lerner (b. 1920)

Unfortunately, the balance of nature decrees that a super-abundance of dreams is paid for by a growing potential for nightmares.
