In October, 2011 Marc co-founded and sits on the Board of Directors of Javelin Mortgage Investment Corp (NYSE:JMI) a publicly traded REIT with over $1 billion in assets that invests in both agency and non-agency residential mortgage backed securities. In November 2009 Bell co-founded and sits on the Board of Directors of ARMOUR Residential REIT, Inc. (NYSE: ARR), a publicly traded REIT with over $20 billion in assets that invests in agency only residential mortgage backed securities. Marc is also the General Partners of Barbican Capital Management a long/short hedge fund focused on U.S. publicly traded equity securities.

Prior to entering the mortgage backed security business Mr. Bell spend 10 years until his retirement on July 1, 2012 as the Chief Executive Officer of FriendFinder Networks Inc. (NasdaqGM: FFN), a leading internet-based social networking and technology company, owner of the FriendFinder family of social networking and online personals sites in addition to the Penthouse lifestyle brand. With over 48,000 websites and over 500 million registered users FriendFinder became one of the largest website holding companies in the world.

Prior to founding Marc Bell Capital in 2003, Mr. Bell served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Globix Corporation. He founded the predecessor company for Globix as a provider of desktop publishing systems in 1989 and added complementary services over time. This group of businesses called Bell Technology Group completed an IPO on the NASDAQ in 1996. Under Mr. Bell's leadership Bell Technology Group grew rapidly into Globix, a leading provider of corporate Internet solutions, with over 1,000 employees worldwide and a Fortune 100 client list. Globix at its peak owned over 20,000 miles around the globe and had over 1 million square feet of Internet Data Center space to serve its Fortune 100 customers. While at Globix Mr. Bell has also a seed investor in several start-up entities including iFilm, Vault.com, NetSat Express, Edgar Online, Earnings.com and SpamEx

Bell has also been a producer of a number successful Broadway musicals and plays: Mr. Bell won a Tony Award for Best Musical for Grammy Award winning musical Jersey Boys in 2006, and Mr. Bell won his second Tony Award for Best Play for Pulitzer Prize winner August: Osage County. He also produced A Catered Affair, Rock of Ages, The Wedding Singer, The Times They Are-A Changin'.

Bell Co-Executive Produces full-length motion pictures including Barry Munday, Sympathy for Delicious, Beware of the Gonzo and is Executive Producer of Hesher, starring Academy Award winner Natalie Portman.

Marc Bell is a partner in a number of restaurant and nightclub related ventures including as Philippe by Philippe Chow in Miami Beach; Munchbar and Piano Bash in Seattle; Lavo, Avenue, Catch and Artichoke Basilles in New York City.

Marc Bell is a member of the Board of Trustees of New York University, New York University School of Medicine. Bell also was an adjunct professor at the Global Entrepreneurship Center of Florida International University, where he taught graduate courses in Entrepreneurship.

Bell runs a foundation to foster education and advance medical research. Since its inception the foundation has organized significant personal and outside donations to schools, hospitals and educational institutions. Some of the foundation's notable programs include The Bell Scholarship, which encourages undergraduates to choose careers in public service by relieving them of their debt upon graduation.

Bell's formal education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Babson College and a Master of Science degree in real estate from New York University.
