Mangalore Airport (India) - Traffic

Traffic

The load factor for the International Flights from the Mangalore Airport has been very good, with all the flights running full. Air India Express has been continuously adding more flights to the Mangalore - West Asian routes to meet the ever increasing demand and bring down the prices and maintain the load factor.

The Area Control Centre at the airport, provides navigation facility for landing and take off of aircraft at Kozhikode and Kochi airports. International Airports in Kochi and Kozhikode do not have this facility. Area Control Centre facility is used by the pilots to land and take off in Kochi and Kozhikode. Mangalore airport officials can give directions to the pilots to land from 35,000 feet above the ground level to 15,000 feet. From 15,000 feet, it is the respective airport officials who give the directions.

Famous quotes containing the word traffic:

To treat a “big” subject in the intensely summarized fashion demanded by an evening’s traffic of the stage when the evening, freely clipped at each end, is reduced to two hours and a half, is a feat of which the difficulty looms large.
    Henry James (1843–1916)

There was a girl who was running the traffic desk, and there was a woman who was on the overnight for radio as a producer, and my desk assistant was a woman. So when the world came to an end, we took over.
Marya McLaughlin, U.S. television newswoman. As quoted in Women in Television News, ch. 3, by Judith S. Gelfman (1976)

There’s something about the dead silence of an office building at night. Not quite real. The traffic down below is something that didn’t have anything to do with me.
    John Paxton (1911–1985)
