Malayan Colleges Laguna

The Malayan Colleges Laguna (MCL or simply Malayan) is a private, non-sectarian, and wholly owned subsidiary of Mapúa Institute of Technology along with the other subsidiaries like the Mapúa IT Center in Makati City and the Malayan High School of Science in Manila.

MCL is among the first major institutions to branch out from the National Capital Region and set up campus in the burgeoning Southern Luzon, bringing along its best practices in education management and implementation. Intended to extend the quality of education Mapúa has been known for, MCL has since set its sights on being a center of excellence for science and technology education in the region, with its excellent facilities, technologically advanced and information technology-integrated curricula.

With 16 baccalaureate programs, MCL has five degree-offering colleges, namely the Mapúa Institute of Technology at Laguna, the Mapúa-PTC College of Maritime Education and Training, the E.T. Yuchengco College of Business, the College of Information Technology and the College of Arts and Sciences. Currently, 45 percent of its students are enrolled in engineering programs.

Famous quotes containing the word colleges:

The present century has not dealt kindly with the farmer. His legends are all but obsolete, and his beliefs have been pared away by the professors at colleges of agriculture. Even the farm- bred bards who twang guitars before radio microphones prefer “I’m Headin’ for the Last Roundup” to “Turkey in the Straw” or “Father Put the Cows Away.”
