Maitres Du Temps - Corporate History

Corporate History

Steven Holtzman began his career in horology in the USA in 1982 when he joined the sales team at his father’s company, the Gruen Marketing Corporation. He then moved into the distribution and marketing of high end Swiss brands, including Roger Dubuis SA (terminated 2008) and Jean Dunand. Holtzman then decided to launch his own brand and, after a few years of development, in 2005 he founded Maîtres du Temps.

The concept of the brand is based on teams of master watchmakers collaborating to develop a watch. The company launched their first model, Chapter One by the master watchmakers Christophe Claret, Roger Dubuis and Peter Speake-Marin, in Geneva in 2008. Chapter Two, developed by Daniel Roth, Peter Speake-Marin and Roger Dubuis was presented in 2009

Famous quotes containing the words corporate and/or history:

“It’s hard enough to adjust [to the lack of control] in the beginning,” says a corporate vice president and single mother. “But then you realize that everything keeps changing, so you never regain control. I was just learning to take care of the belly-button stump, when it fell off. I had just learned to make formula really efficiently, when Sarah stopped using it.”
    Anne C. Weisberg (20th century)

The second day of July 1776, will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated, as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more
    John Adams (1735–1826)
