Taiwan has been leading the computer industry for a long time, designing and manufacturing chips to laptops.
Representative brands of the Made in Taiwan label in the computer industry include Acer, Asus and HTC. Lesser known brands such as Quanta Computer have also proven to be highly competitive and successful, such as manufacturing the millions of computers for the One Laptop Per Child project.
