In November 2009, Maclaren recalled its entire line of strollers sold in the U.S. and produced from 1999-2009, citing 12 reported fingertip amputations in its hinges. The company will provide free hinge covers for all consumers in the United States - but not Europe - and advises against using the strollers until the hinge covers are installed.
