Alternative Operating Systems
The Mac Mini G4 can run different operating systems designed for the PowerPC architecture. For example, users can easily install the AmigaOS-compatible MorphOS, or Linux distributions such as Debian or Ubuntu. Unlike the Intel models of Mac Mini, the G4 versions can still run Mac OS Classic emulation, and are thus compatible with older applications.
