The Lucan concert band has been in existence since 1983. The band caters for wind instruments, from trumpet, clarinet, flute and trombone to bass, euphonium, percussion, bassoon and saxophone. In 2008, this band celebrated its 25th Anniversary. The famous twins, John and Edward Grimes, also known as Jedward, were born in Lucan.
LGS Gospel Choir was formed as Lucan Gospel Singers in February 1998. The group is multidenominational with members from various religious backgrounds.
