Loans
In July 2009, Castiglia was sent out on loan to Serie B club, A.C. Cesena, but he managed just two first team appearances, partially due to injury, and hence, he was called back by Juventus in January 2010. He was then immediately loaned to Lega Pro Prima Divisione club A.C. Reggiana 1919, and made 9 appearances. He made a return to Juventus, following the expiration of the loan deal in July 2010, but was again sent out on loan to the Lega Pro Prima Divisione with F.C. Esperia Viareggio.
He played 30 times in the league and 4 times in the cup. On June 30, 2011, Castiglia returned to Juventus.
In August 2011, he moved to the Lega Pro Prima Divisione side SPAL 1907 in co-ownership deal. In June 2012 he returned to Juventus and re-sold to Vicenza Calcio in August 2012.
