Love Is All That Matters

Love Is All That Matters

"Love Is All That Matters" is the third single taken from the British synthpop group The Human League's 1986 album, Crash. It was recorded in early 1986 at the Flyte Time studios in Minneapolis while the Human League were in residence recording Crash with producers Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis.

This single was like many others from the album, a love song aimed towards the United States market, where the first single from Crash, "Human", had reached number one. However, this single failed and only charted in the UK where it reached number 41. The B side is an instrumental version.

In the UK, after the dismal failure of the second single from Crash "I Need Your Loving" had put a stop to further releases from Crash. "Love Is All That Matters" was released principally to promote the imminent release of the (then) first Human League Greatest Hits album in 1988.

Famous quotes containing the words love is, love and/or matters:

The message you give your children when you discipline with love is “I care too much about you to let you misbehave. I care enough about you that I’m willing to spend time and effort to help you learn what is appropriate.” All children need the security and stability of food, shelter, love, and protection, but unless they also receive effective and appropriate discipline, they won’t feel secure.
    Stephanie Marston (20th century)

What’s it to you if I love you?
    Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe (1749–1832)

In a moment when criticism shows a singular dearth of direction every man has to be a law unto himself in matters of theatre, writing, and painting. While the American Mercury and the new Ford continue to spread a thin varnish of Ritz over the whole United States there is a certain virtue in being unfashionable.
    John Dos Passos (1896–1970)
