Famous quotes containing the words love and, love and/or poison:

Let us rise in the moral power of womanhood; and give utterance to the voice of outraged mercy, and insulted justice, and eternal truth, and mighty love and holy freedom.
    Maria Weston Chapman (1806–1885)

A soul that knows it is loved but does not love in return betrays its dregs:Mwhat is at the bottom comes up.
    Friedrich Nietzsche (1844–1900)

What’s the greatest enemy of Christianity to-day? Frozen meat. In the past only members of the upper classes were thoroughly sceptical, despairing, negative. Why? Among other reasons, because they were the only people who could afford to eat too much meat. Now there’s cheap Canterbury lamb and Argentine chilled beef. Even the poor can afford to poison themselves into complete scepticism and despair.
    Aldous Huxley (1894–1963)
