Major Leagues
Cain was called up to the Brewers when pitcher Doug Davis was placed on the disabled list on July 16, 2010. He made his major league debut against the Atlanta Braves that evening as a pinch-hitter. He was robbed of a hit in his first at-bat due to a diving catch by Braves left fielder Matt Diaz. Two days later, in his next at bat in that same series, he got his first major league hit. He then replaced CF Carlos Gomez for the rest of the game and finished the game 2 for 2 with two singles.

Famous quotes containing the words major and/or leagues:
“When I see that the nineteenth century has crowned the idolatry of Art with the deification of Love, so that every poet is supposed to have pierced to the holy of holies when he has announced that Love is the Supreme, or the Enough, or the All, I feel that Art was safer in the hands of the most fanatical of Cromwells major generals than it will be if ever it gets into mine.”
—George Bernard Shaw (18561950)
“By a knight of ghosts and shadows
I summond am to a tourney
Ten leagues beyond the wide worlds end:
Methinks it is no journey.”
—Unknown. Tom o Bedlams Song (l. 5760)
