The Lordship of The Isles As A Region of The Living Greyhawk Campaign

In the RPGA Living Greyhawk campaign that ran from 2001 to 2008, the Lordship of the Isles was assigned to Spain and was placed within the Splintered Suns metaregion. Adventures written for this region assumed the players would want to be part of a resistance movement against the Scarlet Brotherhood, but some adventures also included the option to cooperate with the Brotherhood. However, the region suffered from a lack of players as well as a lack of adventures published by the regional Triad, and by 2005, RPGA had removed the region from the campaign.

Famous quotes containing the words lordship, isles, region and/or campaign:

But his Lordship [tells] ... us that God is wholly here, and wholly there, and wholly every where; because he has no parts. I cannot comprehend nor conceive this. For methinks it implies also that the whole world is also in the whole God, and in every part of God. Nor ... can I find anything of this in the Scripture. If I could find it there, I could believe it; and if I could find it in the public doctrine of the Church, I could easily abstain from contradicting it.
    Thomas Hobbes (1579–1688)

The isles of Greece! the isles of Greece
Where burning Sappho loved and sung,
    George Gordon Noel Byron (1788–1824)

The Heavens. Once an object of superstition, awe and fear. Now a vast region for growing knowledge. The distance of Venus, the atmosphere of Mars, the size of Jupiter, and the speed of Mercury. All this and more we know. But their greatest mystery the heavens have kept a secret. What sort of life, if any, inhabits these other planets? Human life, like ours? Or life extremely lower in the scale. Or dangerously higher.
Richard Blake, and William Cameron Menzies. Narrator, Invaders from Mars, at the opening of the movie (1953)

Dianne’s not one of the boys, but she’s not one of the girls, either.
Marcia Smolens, U.S. political campaign aide. As quoted in Dianne Feinstein, ch. 15, by Jerry Roberts (1994)
