Longevity Claims - Reports With Complete Date of Birth

Reports With Complete Date of Birth

These are standardized lists of people whose lifespans remain unverified by proximate records, including both modern (Guinness-era) and historical cases. Claims missing either (or both) a date of birth/date of death are listed separately.

All cases where an individual's supercentenarian lifespan is not (yet) backed by records sufficient to the standards of modern longevity research are listed as unverified. They may be factually true, even though records do not exist (or have not yet been found,) so such lists include these grey-area cases.

Famous quotes containing the words reports, complete, date and/or birth:

I think a Person who is thus terrifyed [sic] with the Imagination of Ghosts and Spectres much more reasonable, than one who contrary to the Reports of all Historians sacred and profane, ancient and modern, and to the Traditions of all Nations, thinks the Appearance of Spirits fabulous and groundless.
    Joseph Addison (1672–1719)

In Stamps the segregation was so complete that most Black children didn’t really, absolutely know what whites looked like.
    Maya Angelou (b. 1928)

In the South, the war is what A.D. is elsewhere: they date from it.
Mark Twain [Samuel Langhorne Clemens] (1835–1910)

The birth of the new constitutes a crisis, and its mastery calls for a crude and simple cast of mind—the mind of a fighter—in which the virtues of tribal cohesion and fierceness and infantile credulity and malleability are paramount. Thus every new beginning recapitulates in some degree man’s first beginning.
    Eric Hoffer (1902–1983)
