Vehicles
The route first started using RTs. The RTs were replaced with Daimler DMS buses until about the early 1980s, when the route started using Leyland Nationals and Leyland Titans. When Eastern National took over after the closure of Loughton garage in 1985, they used Leyland Nationals and Bristol VRs. Cowie Group then took over using new Alexander ALX200s and Volvo Olympians.
In 2003, new Volvo B7TLs with Wright Eclipse Gemini bodywork were introduced to the route. These were replaced with older DAF DB250LF/Alexander ALX400s in March 2007.
On 24 March 2012, new Volvo B9TL 10.4m / Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 were introduced.
