Before Baldwin, Doug Herrmann was the high school principal for 17 years. He left to become an associate superintendent of education for the Southeastern California Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. The high school has an attendance of more than 450 students. The High School has an extremely high college bound rate, with 99% of its students enrolling in college after graduation. Of those that attend college, 75% attend a four-year university, while the other 24% attend a two-year college.

Famous quotes containing the words high and/or school:

I think it’s one of the scars in our culture that we have too high an opinion of ourselves. We align ourselves with the angels instead of the higher primates.
    Angela Carter (1940–1992)

I wish to speak a word for Nature, for absolute freedom and wildness, as contrasted with a freedom and culture merely civil,—to regard man as an inhabitant, or a part and parcel of Nature, rather than as a member of society. I wish to make an extreme statement, if so I may make an emphatic one, for there are enough champions of civilization: the minister and the school committee and every one of you will take care of that.
    Henry David David (1817–1862)
