  • David Simchi-Levi, Ph.D., Co-Founder and Consultant

David Simchi-Levi, PhD, serves as Chief Science Officer of ILOG. Dr. Simchi-Levi co-founded of LogicTools Inc. (now part of ILOG) in 1995 and serves as its Consultant. He serves as the editor-in-chief of Operations Research, the flagship journal of INFORMS. He also served as the editor-in-chief of Naval Research Logistics. He served as Chief Executive Officer of LogicTools Inc. He served positions in leading academic institutions, including Berkeley, Columbia University, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, University of Michigan, Purdue University, Georgia Tech, and Virginia Tech. He served as Chairman and Director of LogicTools, Inc. He served as Member of the board for several scientific journals. Dr. Simchi-Levi serves as Professor of Engineering Systems of MIT. He has won awards for his work in supply chain, logistics, and transportation. He has consulted and collaborated extensively with private and public organizations. He is co-author (with Julien Bramel) of "The Logic of Logistics," published by Springer in 1997. His new book, "Designing and Managing the Supply Chain," co-written with Philip Kaminsky and E. Simchi-Levi was published by Irwin/McGraw-Hill in August 1999. The book received the book-of-the-year award and the Outstanding IIE Publication award given in 2000 by the Institute of Industrial Engineers. Dr. Simchi-Levi received his Ph.D. in operations research from Tel-Aviv University.

  • Edith Simchi-Levi, Vice President of Operations

Edith Simchi-Levi is a Co-founder of LogicTools, Inc. and also serves as its Vice President of Operations. Ms. Simchi-Levi has extensive experience in software development and numerous consulting projects in logistics and supply chain management. She co-wrote "Designing and Managing the Supply Chain" and other publications related to supply chain management and e-business. She received her B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science from Tel-Aviv University.

  • Dan Vanden Brink, Vice President of Consulting and Director of Professional Services

Dan Vanden Brink has been Vice President of Consulting of LogicTools, Inc. since October 2005 and serves as its Director of Professional Services. In his most recent corporate role, Mr. Vanden Brink was Director of Supply Chain Practice at SSI/Orion consulting, building a 50 person team for the Chicago office. He has performed many roles at SSI/Orion consulting, from consultant to account manager. He has also worked at USRobotics and ITT Industries in Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing roles. Mr. Vanden Brink also serves as an Adjunct Professor at Illinois Institute of Technology's Stuart School of Business teaching classes in Operations Management, Strategy, and Supply Chain Management. He has a BSc in Industrial Engineering from Iowa State University and an MBA in Operations Management from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He is currently completing his PhD in Operations Research with his dissertation focusing on Capacity Planning and Decision Theory.

  • Shaishav Dharia, Vice President of Consulting

Shaishav Dharia has been Vice President, Consulting of LogicTools, Inc. since December 2004. Mr. Dharia served as Director of Consulting at LogicTools. Prior to joining LogicTools, Mr. Dharia was employed by BearingPoint as a Manager in their Supply Chain Practice and International Paper as an Operations Research analyst in their Converting division. The industries in which Mr. Dharia has specific experience include Retail, Consumer Packaging, Chemical, Telecom and Pulp and Paper. He holds a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering / Operations Research from Georgia Institute of Technology and is currently completing his MBA at the University of Chicago. He also holds a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mumbai, India.

  • Derek Nelson, Vice President of Product Development

Derek Nelson serves as Vice President, Product Development of LogicTools, Inc. Mr. Nelson holds a M.S. in Operations Research from Cornell University and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Management Science, Magna Cum Laude, from Northwestern University.
