Demographics
The largest ethnic group in Logar are Pashtuns. Tajik, Hazara, Parsiwan and Kuchi form around half the population. The Baraki people are the original inhabitants, but are now found mostly in the districts of Charkh, Kharwar and Baraki Barak. They also form a minority in the provincial capital of Pul-i-Alam. As of 2007, the province had a literacy rate of 17%.
