Live At The Fillmore East (Jefferson Airplane Album)

Live At The Fillmore East is the 1998 release of a 1968 concert by Jefferson Airplane at New York's Fillmore East for the 30th anniversary of its opening. It should not be confused with the similarly named Sweeping Up the Spotlight: Live at the Fillmore East, the 1969 concert (also by Jefferson Airplane) recording released in 2007. "Thing" is an experimental freeform instrumental that later morphed into "Bear Melt" from "Bless Its Pointed Little Head".

Famous quotes containing the words live, east and/or airplane:

I did my research and decided I just had to live it.
Karina O’Malley, U.S. sociologist and educator. As quoted in the Chronicle of Higher Education, p. A5 (September 16, 1992)

Ah! on Thanksgiving day, when from East and from West,
From North and from South, come the pilgrim and guest,
When the gray-haired New Englander sees round his board
The old broken links of affection restored,
When the care-wearied man seeks his mother once more,
And the worn matron smiles where the girl smiled before.
What moistens the lip and what brightens the eye?
What calls back the past, like the rich Pumpkin pie?
    John Greenleaf Whittier (1807–1892)

If we did not have such a thing as an airplane today, we would probably create something the size of N.A.S.A. to make one.
    H. Ross Perot (b. 1930)
