Little Miss Book Timeline

Roger Hargreaves was the author of the Little Miss children's book series. Little Miss is a series of 33 books started in 1981. Each book in the original Little Miss series introduced a different title character and their single dominant trait in order to convey a simple moral lesson. The Little Miss characters would frequently reappear in the later books of other characters. The books' simple and silly stories, with bright-coloured, boldly drawn illustrations, made them quite popular.

After Hargreaves' death in 1988, his son, Adam Hargreaves, began writing and illustrating new stories involving the Little Miss characters, including the creation of ten new characters, four of which were inspired by work Roger Hargreaves had produced before his death.

Famous quotes containing the word book:

A big leather-bound volume makes an ideal razorstrap. A thin book is useful to stick under a table with a broken caster to steady it. A large, flat atlas can be used to cover a window with a broken pane. And a thick, old-fashioned heavy book with a clasp is the finest thing in the world to throw at a noisy cat.
Mark Twain [Samuel Langhorne Clemens] (1835–1910)
