Unfair Labor Charge

In July 2008 the Associated Musicians of Greater New York, Local 802 AFM filed an unfair labor charge against Little Airplane Productions, alleging the production company illegally replaced musicians working on the preschool series “The Wonder Pets!” Both parties reached a mutually satisfactory agreement on July 30, 2008.

"At Little Airplane, a Manhattan children’s film company, an N.Y.U. student who hoped to work in animation during her unpaid internship said she was instead assigned to the facilities department and ordered to wipe the door handles each day to minimize the spread of swine flu."

Famous quotes containing the words unfair, labor and/or charge:

I was so sick and faint, so overcome at the brutality of this fiendish sport, that I hardly heard the shouts of “Bravo! bravo!” and the fanfaronade of trumpets.... I do not know which astonished me the most, the strikingly curious, brilliant coup d’oeil, the dexterity of the men, the intrepidity of the animals, the miserable unfair play, or the pleasure of the spectators.
    M. E. W. Sherwood (1826–1903)

I know my state, both full of shame and scorn,
Conceived in sin, and unto labor born,
Standing with fear, and must with horror fall,
And destined unto judgment, after all.
    Ben Jonson (1572–1637)

Your last words as you led the charge up the beach were, “Okay, men, let’s show ‘em whose beach this is!”
    Paddy Chayefsky (1923–1981)
