- Golden Dawn, a party founded in 1985. In the 6 May 2012 Greek parliamentary election, 2012, the Golden Dawn party, as part of the protest vote against the austerity program agreed to by the previous government to resolve the Greek financial crisis, received an unprecedented 7% of the vote, up from less than 1% in 2009, and became entitled to be seated in the Greek Parliament for the first time, with 21 seats.
