Father of Robert E. Sweeney.
- Robert E. Sweeney (1924–2007), candidate for Attorney General of Ohio 1962 1966, U.S. Representative from Ohio 1965-1967, Commissioner of Cuyahoga County, Ohio 1976-1980. Son of Martin L. Sweeney.
