- Richard Rush (1780-1859), Attorney General of Pennsylvania 1811, Attorney General of the United States 1814-1817, U.S. Minister to the United Kingdom 1818-1825, U.S. Secretary of the Treasury 1825-1829, candidate for Vice President of the United States 1828, U.S. Minister to France 1847-1849. Son of Benjamin Rush.
