Utah has conducted at least 51 executions since 1850 (only 7 since 1960, 3 by firing squad). There are currently 9 men on Utah's death row confined at the Utah State Prison in Draper, (there are currently no women on Utah's death row);Utah's executions are also conducted there. The current method of executions is lethal injection, but those who chose firing squad at sentencing prior to its abolition on May 3, 2004 are marked with an *; it may also be used if an inmate has overturned lethal injection. The most recent execution was Ronnie Lee Gardner* by firing squad on June 18, 2010.
