Tentative List

Ukraine has fifteen submissions on the tentative list. One of the submissions is an extension of the existing site of Kiev's historical monuments. Mykolayiv Astronomical Observatory has been submitted in 2007, but in 2008 it has been resubmitted as a part of Astronomical Observatories of Ukraine

Famous quotes containing the words tentative and/or list:

How do we know, then, when a code’s been cracked? ... when we are right? ... when do we know if we have even received a message? Why, naturally, when, upon one set of substitutions, sense emerges like the outline under a rubbing; when a single tentative construal leads to several; when all the sullen letters of the code cry TEAM! after YEA! has been, by several hands, uncovered.
    William Gass (b. 1924)

Religious literature has eminent examples, and if we run over our private list of poets, critics, philanthropists and philosophers, we shall find them infected with this dropsy and elephantiasis, which we ought to have tapped.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
