Secondhand car specialist Jason Dawe was a co-presenter for the first series, but was replaced by May for the second series. As of 16 November 2012, 149 episodes of the series have been broadcast, spanning 18 series. In addition, there have been two shorter episodes produced for charity: Top Gear of the Pops, produced for Red Nose Day, and Top Ground Gear Force, produced for Sport Relief. Famous quotes containing the words list of, list, top, gear and/or episodes:

Modern tourist guides have helped raised tourist expectations. And they have provided the natives—from Kaiser Wilhelm down to the villagers of Chichacestenango—with a detailed and itemized list of what is expected of them and when. These are the up-to- date scripts for actors on the tourists’ stage.
    Daniel J. Boorstin (b. 1914)

Weigh what loss your honor may sustain
If with too credent ear you list his songs,
Or lose your heart, or your chaste treasure open
    To his unmastered importunity.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

Life stood on the top stair a moment
Waved her last gray slander down the stair,
I will not forget her absent eyes
Her other smile like one rose
    Falling, falling everywhere....
    Allen Tate (1899–1979)

But Lord, remember me and mine
    Wi’ mercies temporal and divine!
That I for grace and gear may shine,
    Excelled by nane!
And a’ the glory shall be thine!
    Amen! Amen!
    Robert Burns (1759–1796)

Twenty or thirty years ago, in the army, we had a lot of obscure adventures, and years later we tell them at parties, and suddenly we realize that those two very difficult years of our lives have become lumped together into a few episodes that have lodged in our memory in a standardized form, and are always told in a standardized way, in the same words. But in fact that lump of memories has nothing whatsoever to do with our experience of those two years in the army and what it has made of us.
    Václav Havel (b. 1936)
