DOPO Mia Perry was a press officer who handled the station's links with the local newspapers. She worked at Sun Hill during 2006 and 2007. Although she was a civilian, Mia often showed interest in becoming a police officer – and after helping out DC Mickey Webb on a number of cases, the pair struck up a relationship. However, it was soon revealed that behind his back, she was having an affair with Superintendent John Heaton – who after Mickey discovered was screwing his girlfriend, ended up with a bloody nose. Mia was subsequently fired from her job, but Heaton chose not to pursue charges against Mickey under orders from Jack Meadows.
