It is also the forth tallest building in China and the eighth tallest in the world. Though generally not considered as a building, standing 600m (1,969ft) tall, Canton Tower is tallest structure in Guangzhou as well as in China. It is also the second tallest free-standing structure in the world, behind only Tokyo Skytree in Tokyo.
