List Of Tagged Degrees
Many American colleges offer programs of study which tag basic bachelor, masters, and doctoral degrees with a particular speciality, as is common in the United Kingdom and elsewhere in the world. A tagged degree incorporates the name of the major into the degree title, and generally requires more specialized course work than a degree with an untagged major. Tagged degrees come in two flavors. The first form is a more general bachelors or masters degree with a specialty tag appended to the title, e.g., Bachelor of Science in Nursing. The second form is even more specialized (e.g., Master of Business Administration, Medical Doctor, etc.) and is generally associated with a professional education curriculum.

Famous quotes containing the words list of, degrees and/or list:
“I made a list of things I have
to remember and a list
of things I want to forget,
but I see they are the same list.”
—Linda Pastan (b. 1932)
“Always the laws of light are the same, but the modes and degrees of seeing vary.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“Do your children view themselves as successes or failures? Are they being encouraged to be inquisitive or passive? Are they afraid to challenge authority and to question assumptions? Do they feel comfortable adapting to change? Are they easily discouraged if they cannot arrive at a solution to a problem? The answers to those questions will give you a better appraisal of their education than any list of courses, grades, or test scores.”
—Lawrence Kutner (20th century)
