List Of Swiss Submissions For The Academy Award For Best Foreign Language Film
Switzerland has submitted 37 films for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film since their first entry in 1961. The award is handed out annually by the United States Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to a feature-length motion picture produced outside the United States that contains primarily non-English dialogue.
As of 2009, five Swiss films have been nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, and two of these have won the award, most recently for the Turkish refugee drama Journey of Hope at the 1991 Academy Awards.
