The Twins
Deborah, or "Debbie", has been dating Ben Bates.
Veronica, or "Ronnie", is the town's postwoman and is actively pursuing Adam, a fact which unnerves him slightly. She is willing to listen to his theories at length, although whether she believes him or not is unknown. She previously had a relationship with George, but it didn't end well.

Famous quotes containing the word twins:
“Celestial Cupid her fam’d son advanc’t,
Holds his dear Psyche sweet intranc’t
After her wandring labours long,
Till free consent the gods among
Make her his eternal Bride,
And from her fair unspotted side
Two blissful twins are to be born,
Youth and Joy; so Jove hath sworn,”
—John Milton (1608–1674)
“What if there are not only two nostrils, two eyes, two lobes, and so forth, but two psyches as well, and they are separately equipped? They go through life like Siamese twins inside one person.... They can be just a little different, like identical twins, or they can be vastly different, like good and evil.”
—Norman Mailer (b. 1923)
