List of Speed Racer: The Next Generation Characters - Antagonists - Shadowy Woman

Shadowy Woman

Voice Actor: Mandy Bonhomme (Season 1), Cindy Robinson (Season 2)

The controller of the committee, who is out to capture the Mach 6. So far, she is the only member of the Committee, who has not shown her face on screen. She is always seen hidden in the shadows and has her voice altered even when talking to the rest of the Committee members. Most fans speculate that she is actually Trixie, Speed Sr.'s girlfriend from the original series. Although "The Hourglass, pt. 3" has led people to believe that the woman who caught Alpha Leader walking around can be the Shadowy Woman. However, that is yet to be proven true. Unlike Zile Zazic, the Committee's reasons for wanting the Mach 6 are currently unknown. In "The Hourglass, pt. 3" it is also revealed that they know about the missing part of the Mach 6's engine and are trying to make their own. Although she is clearly interested in the car's time travel capabilities, it is still not specified why.

She appears to be much more ruthless than Zile, especially in "The Hunt for Truth, pt. 2" when she ordered Alpha Academy to be destroyed in order to hide any evidence of the Shadow Committee while showing no sympathy for the people in the school. She has absolutely no regard for even those who have served her in the past and disposes of them as soon as they are no longer of any use to the cause. This is seen through her desire to assassinate Zile Zazic. Despite his dedication she also dismisses Handles Mustache, implying that even fellow committee members can be removed once they no longer provide useful service to the group.

Famous quotes containing the words shadowy and/or woman:

O western orb sailing the heaven,
Now I know what you must have meant as a month since I walked,
As I walked in silence the transparent shadowy night,
    Walt Whitman (1819–1892)

“But such as you and I do not seem old
Like men who live by habit. Every day
I ride with falcon to the river’s edge
Or carry the ringed mail upon my back,
Or court a woman; neither enemy,
Game-bird, nor woman does the same thing twice....”
    William Butler Yeats (1865–1939)
