The Saurians (also known as "The People") were originally lizards that were exposed to the first nuclear bomb test in New Mexico. It took them awhile for them to evolve and they built an underground city. They did have an encounter with Ms. Marvel when she discovered their underground city. When the Dire Wraiths attacked, the Saurians encountered Rom. The Saurian survivors hid from the humans until they later learned of the Savage Land. The Saurians were spotted by some people when traveling through Argentina and were rescued by the X-Men who helped them get to the Savage Land. They became part of the United Tribes at the time when the Savage Land Mutates attacked. Sometime later, the Saurians were captured by the Hauk'ka yet were rescued by the X-Men.
Known Saurians include:
- Aracht'yr - The patriarch of the Saurians. Killed by the Dire Wraiths.
- B'ok - A Saurian warrior. He and M'dhar brought Ms. Marvel to her trial.
- C'rel - A Saurian who is the daughter of Aracht'yr and Miriele. She was among the survivors who emigrated to the Savage Land.
- Faelar - A Saurian warrior.
- Heamon - A Saurian who is a member of the High Council. Killed by the Dire Wraiths.
- Khadar - A Saurian warrior-prime. Even though his children were killed by the Dire Wraiths, Khadar was among the survivors who emigrated to the Savage Land.
- Kurr'fri - A Saurian who was a member of the fourth incarnation of the Lethal Legion.
- Jimi - A Saurian.
- M'dhar - A Saurian warrior. He and B'ok brought Ms. Marvel to her trial.
- M'kai - A Saurian who was among the survivors of the Dire Wraith attacks that emigrated to the Savage Land.
- Madri - A Saurian child. He and his mother were survivors of the Dire Wraith attacks and was with the Saurians when they emigrated to the Savage Land.
- Miriele - A Saurian who is the wife of Aracht'yr and the mother of C'rel. Killed by the Dire Wraiths.
- S'gur - A Saurian who was involved in a war caused by Hauk'ka
- Serpentyne - A Saurian who believed himself to be the last of his kind following the Dire Wraith attacks.
- Tak - A Saurian who is based on the Flying Dragon. Killed by the Dire Wraiths.
- Viri - A Saurian.
