List of San Francisco Municipal Railway Lines - Express Bus Lines

Express Bus Lines

Express lines run between the outskirts of the city and downtown or between major rail stations and other points in the city. These lines typically run only during peak hours, going inbound in the morning and outbound in the evening, except the 8X Bayshore Express, which runs in both directions all day, and the 83X Mid-Market Express, which runs in both directions during peak hours. Asterisked (*) lines indicate that they run only during morning peak hours.

Famous quotes containing the words express, bus and/or lines:

Every family should extend First Amendment rights to all its members, but this freedom is particularly essential for our kids. Children must be able to say what they think, openly express their feelings, and ask for what they want and need if they are ever able to develop an integrated sense of self. They must be able to think their own thoughts, even if they differ from ours. They need to have the opportunity to ask us questions when they don’t understand what we mean.
    Stephanie Martson (20th century)

An actor rides in a bus or railroad train; he sees a movement and applies it to a new role. A woman in agony of spirit might turn her head just so; a man in deep humiliation probably would wring his hands in such a way. From straws like these, drawn from completely different sources, the fabric of a character may be built. The whole garment in which the actor hides himself is made of small externals of observation fitted to his conception of a role.
    Eleanor Robson Belmont (1878–1979)

There they lived on, those New England people, farmer lives, father and grandfather and great-grandfather, on and on without noise, keeping up tradition, and expecting, beside fair weather and abundant harvests, we did not learn what. They were contented to live, since it was so contrived for them, and where their lines had fallen.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
