List of Raven Series - Series 2 (2003)

Series 2 (2003)

The second series aired at the end of 2003 and introduced a number of notable changes. Emblems for each warrior were introduced, each consisting of a different element or geological feature: sun, water, tree, moon, cloud or the mountain. Raven's appearance changed, introducing a black feathered cape, fringed hair and a Staff of Power to give and take lives, and restore fallen warriors. Also introduced were the exchange of seven rings for a life, and Raven's nemesis, Nevar, was introduced at the Last Stand as guardian of the portal.

At last the impossible Way of the Warrior was conquered twice this series, with Ishal completing it on day four of week three; her second attempt in the final week proved less successful after failing at the swinging boulders. Varna then completed it on the final day, putting him forward to the final Last Stand. Roska is the only warrior of the whole series to momentarily have no lives whilst still in the course of his quest. With one life and six rings, he failed Dragon's Roost and lost his final life; however, having taken two rings in the challenge from collecting on the way up the ladder and also being aloud to keep them, the life was restored, saving him from elimination. In this series all three wave warriors made it to the final. In this series stepping stones returned but was played different this time the Warrior's would race in 2's jump through the hoop and swim to collect the gold treasure ring on the skull but any warrior who failed to collect the ring or fell off the stones into the Water would lose a life. Kinia beat Roska to the ring. Luaha got to the ring after Oklar slipped off and lost her balance and both Napat and Ghada slipped off before they could jump through the hoop and swim to the treasure ring. If Ishal had failed the Way of the Warrior the first time then Dyasa would have made it to Day 5 and it would have marked the first ever time a warrior with the Moon Emblem made it to day 5 of the week and the first time in this series where there were 2 male warrior's on Day 5 and 1 female. Varna is the first warrior to wear the Wave Emblem in his heat then the Mountain Emblem in his final with Rimah from Series 8 being the second. Ishal is the only warrior to have done the way of the warrior twice by succeeding the first time and failing the second time and also the only warrior to have done the way of the warrior twice in the series she is also the only warrior to have completed the way of the warrior and is the only warrior to have completed the challenge in her heat where as all the other warriors completed in their final in Week 3 Ring Climb and Dragon's Roost were swapped round unlike Week 1 2 and the final week Ring Climb was played on Day 4 instead of day 2 and Dragon's Roost was played on Day 2 instead of Day 4 also when Dragon's Roost was played in Week 3 there were no extra rings for the warriors to collect on their way up the ladder there was the only one ring in the roost for the winning warrior which meant they would gain the one ring and keep their life where as the losing warrior would have no rings to keep and would lose a life also when Dark Path was played in Week 3 oddly similar to Dragon's roost there were no extras rings for the winning instead it was just the one ring for the Winning Warrior at the end of the Challenge which meant that a warrior who either lost or got caught by a wood demon would have no rings to collect and keep and would just lose a life

There is in every either-or a certain naivete which may well befit the evaluator, but ill- becomes the thinker, for whom opposites dissolve in series of transitions.
