In October 2012 the locomotive was purchased by Stainmore Railway Company and moved to Kirkby Stephen East latter that month. Essentially in ex-scrapyard condition, with a number of significant components missing (such as the connecting rods and motion) although it received some cosmetic restoration in the 1980s.
