Jon Beeby
On the March 1, 2011, Jon Beeby, 25, set out from Long Beach, NY and walked to Chicago, IL, joined Route 66 and walked to Los Angeles, CA. He walked 3,152 miles in 88 days, averaging a 40–45 miles daily, and kept a daily blog at Steptoofar.com. Film of the journey is currently being edited and photos of the trip will be compiled into a photo book. Beeby's walk raised money for Tag Rugby Trust, a UK rugby charity that helps young kids in developing countries. Jon's crew included: Nigel Usher, Helen Haris, Ali Kerslake, Michael Field, Shaun Stander, and Chris Saunders.
