Note: The Convention Parliament of 1689 is often referred to as the 1st Parliament of William & Mary. As it was not summoned by the monarch, the Convention Parliament is not included in this list. Many sources include it, however, and thus designate the 1690 parliament as the "Second Parliament". The very first act of the 1690 parliament (2 Will. & Mar., c.1) was to legitimize the Convention parliament as a lawfully-summoned parliament. Subsequent parliaments of William & Mary are designated accordingly, with the result that a total of six parliaments are considered to have sat during this reign.
