Ultron is a robotic supervillain in the Marvel Comics universe, an enemy of the Avengers. Created by Roy Thomas and John Buscema, the character first appeared in The Avengers #55 (August 1968). In the context of the stories, Ultron is the creation of Avenger Henry Pym, who rebels from his "father" and suffers from an oedipus complex.
