Cardiac (Elias Wirtham) is a vigilante hero in the Marvel Comics universe. The character, created by David Michelinie and Erik Larsen, first appeared in The Amazing Spider Man #344 in March 1991. Within the context of the stories, Wirtham is a doctor who adopts a costumed identity to strike back at corporate greed, which he blames for the death of his brother.
